Collin & Vivien

We simply love pre-wedding shoots! There are so many ideas to explore. We have been waiting for the right couple - someone who possesses high energy level, adventurous and yet leave everything else to us. Then Collin and Vivien came along and they are exactly the ones we were waiting for.
Collin and Vivien are a friendly and simple couple who enjoy common activities. After we got to know the couple, we realised 1) they love to play tennis and 2) they go to Pulau Ubin on a regular basis. You can find them on the island so often that you'll think they are Ubin's PR!

We travelled in a big group that day -- Collin, Vivien, 2 of their best friends (Yvonne and Jeffrey), a makeup artist, Jeremy and us. As we walked through Millenium Walk, we got countless stares from on-lookers. The couple were like movie stars with their very own camera crew. Haha!
Collin and Vivien were very pro "actors". They were so focused in playing tennis that we see beads of perspiration on their forehead appear on our LCDs very soon. They just continued to play for us to get all our shots and left everything else to us. We appreciate that kind of trust and confidence. It gave us the freedom to try new angles to craft their pre-wedding video.

The whole shoot went very smooth. We felt like a family and the shoot didn't feel like a job. It was much like having an outing together. Yvonne attended to the couple's and the working crew's needs. She brought us food and tissues. Jeffrey was a great volunteer-porter too. He carried the Collin and Vivien's stuff and our equipment too!

Finally the day ended with a toast of sparkling grape juice that the couple had brought along in their picnic basket. With the sun setting in the background, we couldn't ask for more. Jeremy has posted some of his spectacular photos on his blog too (http://www.jeremyfoo.blogspot.com/). We shall not reveal too much here before the wedding....

Bernard & Philomena Wedding

Sorry for the long absence. Been real busy with several projects! Here's Bernard and Philo's big day.
A few really memorable points from their day for us. 1) Philo's big and mesmerizing eyes, 2) Bernard and his band of bros dancing in disposable undies with words scribbled, 3) the quick 20 min outdoor photoshoot under the terribly hot sun with Paul Goh (but the couple still looked cool!), 4) the hilarious but touching speeches by Bernard and Philo at their wedding banquet
An excellent couple to serve. Bernard had been the very well-mannered and sporting groom who was partially saved by the need to get into Philo's house before the auspicious hour (and the games carried on inside the house of course!). And Philo was the bubbly bride who tried to show only her demure side on her big day. Everything will go smoothly when one takes things easy on the actual day.

This wedding examplified the fact that bridal makeup is always captured more beautifully when the bride's room is clean, neat, tidy and bright with natural sunlight coming in thru the windows. We hope we can have more couples who starts their makeup only after sunrise....

Excellent Service

We carry many pieces of equipment for many of our shoots. Often the most challenging part after we have unloaded our equipment from our car is to bring them to the hotel suite or ballroom and we always wish we have an extra hand to open the doors along the route or to help us with our mammoth load of equipment .

We are deeply impressed by Conrad Hotel's service personnel for the consistent assistance they render us. We may not be their guests paying for usage of rooms/ballrooms or even spending a cent at their premises, however we are so grateful for that extra pair of hands EVERYTIME at the hotel doorstep.

Whenever we go towards the door to open it, we are always helped by the service personnel. It can be a porter, some guys in suit and even ladies in suit and heels come forward to help us without prompting. Such little acts of opening and holding the glass door for us and even help us carry the stuff to our car saved us a lot of frustration and we are delighted that such acts have been consistent since we frequent Conrad Hotel.

It's a pity that we didn't get the names of the different service personnel who have assisted us. Nonetheless, we would like to say thank you to whoever you are at Conrad Hotel that helped us so many times. You are deeply appreciated!

Russell & Grace

If you know their love story, you will feel that Russell & Grace is perfect for each other.
With one march-in at their wedding banquet with little fanfare as they didn't want their guests to stand, they minimized the number of interruptions to their guests' enjoyment of the dinner. We were pleasantly surprised that the whole ambience at the banquet was subdued and relax by just a simple consideration for the guests by the couple.

Both familes have added their personal touch to the wedding: Grace handmade Russell's matching tie and vest. Russell's mom prepared belacan for every table etc However, the best gift they have given to their buddies is a winning number at the lottery! What a pity.. We should have bet on that number too! We'll bear this in mind the next time....

Alvin & Serena

Many a times, we are asked by many of our brides and their girlfriends about the kind of gate-crashing games they should play with the groom and their friends that will provide good video and camera shots.
Our answer is : Actions! More Actions! Dramatic Actions!
The groom has to be actively participating in the games to begin with. Alvin is a good example of a good sport. From our snapshots of his gate-crashing attempts, one can see how much fun they had.

Another FAQ is: How to look good in group photos and video? Just make sure the number of guys to gals is the same, coupled with matching dressings. At the same time, everyone has to be cooperative and fun to be with. Most importantly, DO NOT block us!
The above picture of Alvin and Serena with their friends looks really good to us.
Nonethless of all, the couple must RELAX and ENJOY their big day. This is their moment in life to flash their biggest smiles! It's during these times that we capture their joyous smiles and laughs which they will cherish for life.
So what's special about Alvin and Serena's wedding? It's fun and enjoyable in the morning yet simple and relax in the evening.

Kelvin & Shanel

We would say this project is the turning point for our wedding highlights!
This was the first project that we shot after coming back from a wedding videography workshop with Stillmotion (www.stillmotion.ca). The fast-paced editing with excellent tempo kept audience on their toes throughout! We got tons of enquiries at the wedding banquet right after!
Watch it under our the "Gallery" of our website and you'll understand...

Benjamin & Sonia Wedding

When I first met Ben & Sonia, Sonia left a deep impression on me with the way she carried herself. She has a simple air of style that is sweet and demure. On her wedding day, she wore a simple off-shoulder dress that fits her to a T with great elegance and poise.

The church wedding is resplendent! The church is big and spacious for us to run around. We have lots of room to capture best angles of the bride and groom. But it's hard to resist the fun of roaming up and down the aisle and around spacious churches... just ask any kid! We so love this part of videography!

Both Ben and Sonia's families were so excited about the whole wedding. The couple gave heart-warming speeches during the dinner, giving us a glimpse of Ben and Sonia's family relationships. Oh yes! We had the privilege to drink really good vintage red wine too.

Paul captured many beautiful moments, such as the second march-in duet by the couple.
Lots of personal touches forged by the couple's close friends' blessings and close family bondings. Celebratory live band at the dinner banquet formed by good friends and the couple's singing as they walked into the ballroom added on to the occasion. Feel their beatitude in this short clip...
